Hacienda La Esperanza Granada, a new luxury villa and wedding and events venue in Spain, is considering offering stays at its 45,000 square meter property in exchange for Bitcoin. The villa, which has six bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 12 to 14 persons, is located 30 minutes away from Granada and 90 minutes from Malaga International Airport.
USING CRYPTOCURRENCY TO PAY FOR HOLIDAYS & TRAVEL
“Our elegant villa and luxury casa rural is the perfect base for exploring the gorgeous Lecrin Valley, historic Granada and Malaga,” said Napoleon Bustillo, general manager of La Esperanza Granada. “It’s the most perfect setting for weddings, celebrations and corporate events.”
Bitcoin investors may soon be able to pay ins cryptocurrency for their stays at this luxury villa. A one week stay at La Esperanza Granada currently costs 13,300 euros, while the minimum two-night stay costs 3800 euros. This comes up to approximately .35 BTC and .10 BTC respectively, at current rates on February 26 at 8 AM Spain time.
SAFEST PLACE FOR A HOLIDAY IN SPAIN
One of the highlights of this former private estate is its Alhambra-inspired courtyard and its beautiful gardens. “During these times of COVID-19, it’s the best place for a holiday,” Bustillo said. “We have all the space in the world to feel safe and secure in, and we are surrounded by nature and amazing scenery.”

Those who prefer a more active holiday can avail of private tours to the Alhambra, the first UNESCO World Heritage site of Spain, or to Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. PAYING FOR A HOTEL IN BITCOIN
As for payment in Bitcoin, Bustillo said: “The owner of La Esperanza Granada is a fan of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. So if more businesses in Spain start accepting Bitcoin and it is legally possible to undertake such transactions, we will be among the first hotels in Spain to start accepting Bitcoin as payment. We are looking forward to this day.”
When asked if the hotel plans to accept other cryptocurrencies, he replied: “The owner also believes in the future of Ethereum and Litecoin so I think we will be accepting ETH and LTC as payments in the future too.”
